The story of Kochi Polygonum Multiflorum Product

Ru nhau len nui tim ha thu o”

The above poem recalls a legend about the polygonum multiflorum plant and implies its benefits in darkening hair, as well as its anti-aging properties. Polygonum multiflorum also means ‘Mr. Ha’s black hair.’ The story goes that during the Duong Dynasty, there was a man named Ha Dien Nhi who had been weak and sickly since childhood. At the age of 58, he still had no children, which troubled him greatly. One day, he encountered a peculiar plant and decided to dig it up and bring its roots home to make a medicinal drink. After several months, his hair transformed from white to lustrous black, his physique became robust, and within 10 years, he had multiple children. He lived to be 160 years old. To this day, polygonum multiflorum retains its valuable health benefits.

In terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Polygonum multiflorum contains active ingredients such as Lecithin (nourishing the nervous system, promoting blood circulation, and strengthening the heart), Anthraglycosides (stimulating intestinal contractions, improving digestion, and enhancing nutrient absorption), and Stilbenes (protecting the liver and reducing blood lipid levels). Despite its numerous excellent health benefits, Polygonum multiflorum is seldom used directly due to potential toxicity concerns.

As a result, the powdered form of KOCHI Polygonum multiflorum exhibits high quality and stability, with its own distinctive characteristics: a uniform reddish-brown powder, a pink infusion color, a pleasant aroma, and a unique, slightly bitter taste, completely free from toxicity.

Despite being introduced to the market only in mid-2020, the Kochi Polygonum multiflorum brand was ranked in the Top 3 ‘Vietnamese Preferred Products’ in 2020 and reached the 2nd position in the same category in 2021 by the Steering Committee for the campaign ‘Vietnamese People Prioritize Vietnamese Products’ in Hanoi.
